The Rising Pillar is an object in Super Mario 3D World and it's remake: Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. It resembles a stone pillar that rises as the player interacts with it
In Super Mario 3D World[]
In the level Mount Beanpole, near the top of the level, there is an Rising Pillar that the player can scratch on with a Super Bell to get to a cloud for a Green Star. When the player scratches it with the Cat Suit, it will rise into the air until it reaches it's maximum height. The level: Fire Bros. Hideout #2 also includes a Rising Pillar which is used to defeat the Fire Bro and Goomba Tower for a Green Star.
In Bowser's Fury[]
The shines, "Climb to the Shine" and "Spin, Scramble, Shine" can be accessed by Cat Mario by scratching on the wheel on the pillar and climbing up them for these two shines.
