The Red Power Star is one of the Power Star variations featured in Super Mario Galaxy. Aside from its distinctive red color, the Red Power Star does not differ from regular Power Stars.
Description
Mario obtaining a Red Power Star
Mario obtains this star in the second mission of the Gateway Galaxy, Gateway's Purple Coins. Mario will talk to Rosalina and a Red Luma, who will give Mario a new challenge of collecting a hundred Purple Coins. Mario must use Red Stars to transform into Flying Mario to collect the Purple Coins in the air. Once this challenge has been completed, Red Stars appear in the Comet Observatory.
