Red Boo

Not to be confused with Boo Block.

Red Boos, also known as Pink Boos, are enemies featured in a few Mario games, having first appeared in Super Mario Sunshine. Red Boos are among several stronger variants of Boos.

In Super Mario Sunshine[]

Their debut appearance names them Pink Boos. They only appear Hotel Delfino of Sirena Beach. Pink Boos can be sprayed with water from F.L.U.D.D., and they turn into platforms for Mario to reach higher areas. Unlike regular Boos, Pink Boos cannot be defeated at all, although they are not hostile and do not chase Mario around.

In the Mario Party series[]

Mario Party 4[]

In Mario Party 4, a single Red Boo appears on the Boo's Haunted Bash board. Going past it either makes it appear or disappear. Due to the Red Boo's presence, the other white Boos and the Haunted Train disappear until the larger Red Boo disappear. Certain areas can now be accessed as long as the large Red Boo is shown.

Mario Party 6[]

In Mario Party 6, a Red Boo plays a large role of the board games. It now can steal stars and/or coins for players on certain boards, and more Red Boos appear mainly in the Duel Mini-games.

Mario Party 8[]

In Mario Party 8, Red Boos play a major role on King Boo's Haunted Hideaway, where they wait for you in pitfall rooms. If you get there, they will throw you into the pit. Red Boos also own the shops in King Boo's Haunted Hideaway. They also appear in the minigames Boo-ting Gallery and Spector Inspector.
