Red Blurps are a type of enemy which appears in Yoshi's Story.

Red Blurps behave very similarly to Boss Bass in Super Mario Bros. 3 in that they try to jump out at the Yoshis. Red Blurps constantly watch from the water as they swim in place and frequently jump out to attack. If a Yoshi has fallen into the water, a Red Blurp attempts to eat him.
Compared to Boss Bass, Red Blurps jump within a tall and wide arc, higher than what Boss Bass is capable of. To compensate, Red Blurps move slower, including during their descent within the air.
