Ray is a friendly manta ray who appears in Super Mario Galaxy, in both the Loopdeeloop and Loopdeeswoop galaxies. It is used to race around two galaxies and beat the time, 1:30:00.
Description[]
Ray is a dark purple Manta Ray. His upper side is covered in purple spots, and his eyes are surrounded by orange rings. His lower side is tan.
Usage[]
Mario has to ride Ray through the course to get the Power Star. Falling off results in an instant loss and the loss of a life. The record is 90 seconds.
To accelerate, one must press A. Twisting the Wii Remote is how the player steers Ray, and shaking the remote causes him to jump.
