Rattly the Rattlesnake is a rattlesnake-species Animal Buddy being a part of the Donkey Kong series. He seems to be a replacement of Winky.

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest[]
Rattly first appears in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest first appearing in Topsail Trouble and making its final in Animal Antics.
In the game, Rattly is known for its incredible heights in jumping and reaching areas usually that cannot be accessed by Diddy or Dixie themselves. Sometimes is required to reach these areas whether it allows it to advance in the level or access a DK Coin or a Bonus Level. This is similar to how Squitter. It can simply do this by his incredibly springy coil. It can also bounce up and down rapidly by its supercharge attack by bouncing even higher. Its level Rattle Battle is entirely dedicated to itself. It can even defeat Zingers by jumping on them.
Donkey Kong Land 2[]
Rattly reappears in the semi-sequel Donkey Kong Land 2.
In the game, Rattly apparently has survived the sinking of Crocodile Isle (his hometown) and has come to once again assist Diddy and Dixie. Instead, his supercharge jump button is SELECT.
