Ratagator is a character who appears in a few live-action segments of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. He is a hybrid between a sewer rat and an alligator, reflected by the fact that his name is a portmanteau of "rat" and "alligator." Ratagator is a friend of Mario and Luigi, and he tends to visit them at Mario Brothers Plumbing.

For production of the show itself, Ratagator appears to be a hand puppet of sorts.
