Ramps are a recurring object in the Mario Kart series. They first appear in Super Mario Kart.
Description[]
Using a ramp allows a character to jump high into the air, and using some is required to travel across wide gaps. A Boost Pad is often featured on a ramp, allowing a character to travel even farther and perform higher jumps. As of Mario Kart Wii, ramps are a common way for racers to perform tricks.
A specific type of ramp, Glider Ramps, were introduced in Mario Kart 7, with their main difference being that a character automatically takes out their glider upon driving over it.
