Queen Merelda (クイーンメルフル Kuīn Merufuru?) is a major character who appears in Wario Land: Shake It!. She is the queen of the Shake Dimension whose subjects are the Merfles. Queen Merelda is the game's damsel-in-distress. Her name is an anagram of the word "emerald."

In the opening cutscene, Queen Merelda is imprisoned Shake King so he could steal the Bottomless Coin Sack, capable of producing an endless supply of coins. Later, when Wario hears from a Merfle that Queen Merelda had been kidnapped, he goes on a journey to rescue her, although with an ulterior motive of only being interested in the Bottomless Coin Sack.
Once Merelda is rescued by Wario, she expresses her gratitude, only for Wario to throw her aside for the Bottomless Coin Bag.
