Paper Mario

Putrid Piranha is a variant of Piranha Plant which only appears in the Paper Mario series. It first appears in Paper Mario.

Purtrid Piranhas are found mainly in the Jade Jungle. They mainly attack Mario by biting at him, which has the possibility of inflicting the Poison status effect on him.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door[]

Putrid Piranhas are found on Keelhaul Key and the Pit of 100 Trials. In this game, the Putrid Piranhas can now attack with a poison breath attack that not only hits both Mario and his partner but may also cause poison. However, this attack is weaker than their usual bite attack.

Super Paper Mario[]

Putrid Piranhas can be found in the Land of the Cragnons. Putrid Piranhas are commonly found in warp pipes and attack by breathing poisonous gas at it's target. Putrid Piranhas often drop items such as Horsetails when defeated.
