The Purple Coin Ball is an object which appears in Super Mario Galaxy 2. It is only used in Rolling Coaster Galaxy, during the second mission Purple Coins on the Rainbow Road.
Description[]
The Purple Coin Ball is much like the Star Ball, only that it contains a Purple Coin instead of a Power Star. The Purple Coin Ball functions the same as a Star Ball, and can be stood on by either Mario or Luigi. The player can tilt the Wii Remote to have the Purple Coin Ball roll around.
In Super Mario Galaxy 2[]
During the mission Purple Coins on the Rainbow Road, Mario or Luigi have to collect 100 Purple Coins, and when the Purple Coin Ball shatters at the end, an extra Purple Coin is released for Mario or Luigi to collect.
