Prince Hugo is a one-time character who has a large role in the The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode "Sneaky Lying Cheating Giant Ninja Koopas." He is a giant Toad who has a pet parrot named Royal Parrot, who is also large in size like him. He is the ruler of Giant Land, and seeks Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool, and Toad's assistance in dealing with the Koopa Troop's attack on Giant Land.
