Pretty Lucky is a badge which appears in both Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

Appearances[]

Paper Mario[]

Pretty lucky badge

In Paper Mario, Pretty Lucky gives Mario the ability to be "lucky" in combat. Being "lucky" is when an enemy unexpectedly misses its attack. The word "lucky" flashes and Mario tips his hat in relief. This badge is primarily an upgraded version of the Close Call badge. There is only one copy of this badge in this game. This copy is found in Merluvlee and Merlow's House at Shooting Star Summit and it is priced at five Star Pieces. Pretty Lucky costs only three BP to wear. An upgraded form of the badge exists in the form of Lucky Day.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door[]

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Mario can get an unlimited amount of these badges. With the help on Ms. Mowz, Mario can steal Pretty Lucky badges from several enemies. This badge costs two Badge Points to wear in this game. This badge does not work on Mario's partners so he will have to get the Pretty Lucky P badge to protect his party. Later on, Mario can venture off into the Rogueport Sewers and find Pretty Lucky in an invisible block on the deepest area. Mario can also find it in Dazzle's inventory, and she sells it for three Star Pieces rather than five in Paper Mario.

Pretty Lucky was also given a partner-based variant, the Pretty Lucky P.
