A Pounder is a hammer-like enemy in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. They work for the Smithy Gang in The Factory. Pounders also assist the Manager in battle. Pounders have a stronger variant named Poundettes.

Battle

In battle, Pounders mainly attack by pounding at one of Mario's party members. They can also deal high damage by tossing hammers at a party member.

Strategy

Pounders are weak to thunder attacks, so any of Mallow's thunder techniques are effective against them. Pounders are often found in groups, so using Thunderbolt is a better strategy.
