Popping Balloons

Popping Balloons is a Mini Battle in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its remake Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3.

Gameplay[]

A Yoshi and Bandit compete to try and be the first to pop the balloon containing either a 10-Point Star or 20-Point Star first. A Yoshi can pop a balloon by ground-pounding it. Whoever pops the balloon first is the winner, so if Yoshi wins, he is rewarded the 10-Point Star or 20-Point Star contained within, but if the Bandit wins, Yoshi does not earn the items.

Popping Balloons can be played by unlocking a Bonus Game Shack in four different levels: Visit Koopa And Para-Koopa, Monkeys' Favorite Lake, Lake Shore Paradise, and lastly Scary Skeleton Goonies!.
