For the similar named boss in New Super Mario Bros., see Mummipokey.

Pokey Mummies are enemies featured in Paper Mario.

These creatures are simply poisonous versions of regular Pokeys. That being said, these enemies are virtually the same, just with the ability to every so often, poison Mario with a successful attack. These enemies are only found within the Dry Dry Ruins. They also have obtained a strange blueish-green color to them, unlike regular Pokeys.

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, there is a new version of these enemies that have a different story called Poison Pokeys.

Tattle This is a Pokey Mummy. Pokey Mummies are Pokeys that dried out and became mummies then went to live in the ruins. Max HP: 4, Attack Power: 2, Defense Power: 0 Careful! They have spikes on their heads! Trust me--it'll hurt if you jump on 'em. The mummification also made 'em poisonous. If you get poisoned when they attack you, you'll take damage for a while. What do you say we beat 'em before they can poison us?
