Player's Choice is a marketing label, introduced on May 20, 1996,[1] on select Nintendo games that have sold a certain number of copies. Player's Choice was originally only given to titles that had sold over a million copies before being reduced to 250,000 copies for the Nintendo GameCube.[2] Player's Choice re-releases were typically sold at a lower price. Player's Choice was replaced by Nintendo Select on the Wii up until the Nintendo Switch.
