Wario Land WarioWare

Pirate Gooms are small, round enemies featured in the Wario Land series, having debuted in Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. In early Wario Land installments, Pirate Gooms are the main footsoldiers of the Black Sugar Gang, serving under Captain Syrup. The parent species of a Pirate Goom is Wanderin' Goom, which does not carry a weapon.

In Wario Land series[]

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3[]

Pirate Gooms appear as enemies around Kitchen Island. Wario cannot barge into a Pirate Goom from the front because it holds out a spear, which damages Wario if he touches it. Wario can jump on a Pirate Goom to render it upside-down and vulnerable, allowing Wario to pick up and throw the Pirate Goom.

Wario Land II[]

In the introduction scene, a few Pirate Gooms are shown secretly raiding Wario Castle. They made up the majority of enemies that Wario encountered. Pirate Gooms act the same as in Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 except they now hold out a trident, which still injures Wario upon being touched. In addition, there is a large Pirate Goom boss named Giant Spear Man. During the final boss fight against Captain Syrup, she drops out some mechanical Pirate Gooms.

In Picross NP Vol. 7[]

A Pirate Goom makes a cameo as puzzle B in the characters mode.
