Piranha Sprouts have a round orange body with white lips, stubby yellow arms, and a flower-shaped sprout on its head.
Behavior[]
Piranha Sprouts appear from the ground to spit seed-like explosives at Captain Toad then bury back into the ground. To defeat a Piranha Sprout, Captain Toad must pluck it from the ground and throw it.

- Piranha Sprouts are one of several Piranha Plant species mentioned by Viridi in the Palutena's Guidance conversation for Piranha Plant, but it is unclear whether she is referring to the Piranha Sprouts from Yoshi's Story or Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.
