Peeka

Peeka Boo is a teal-colored Boo who works at Westside Goods in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

Etymology[]

Her name is derived from the "peeka-" prefix of "peekaboo."

History[]

She refers to Mario as Cutie, Sweetie, Honey, and Sugar. Peeka also seems to be a bouncer for the Pianta Syndicate. The person who wants to enter must buy items in a specific order, and then Peeka asks questions to be sure they didn't stumble on the order by accident. After the correct answer is given, she opens the door that leads to the main building of the Syndicate. Her sister is Lahla, the Boo who works at Pianta Parlor, next-door to Westside Goods.

Trivia[]

In the Japanese version, both Peeka and Lahla wear bunny ears. To avoid Playboy Bunny connotations, this was changed to cat ears in international versions.
