Pedal Pushers is a 4-player and a Duel minigame which appears in Mario Party DS. It is also the eighth minigame of Score Scuffle.
Gameplay[]
Each character drives a kart on a toy racetrack, and the objective is for them to be the first to clear one lap. A character can accelerate by alternating the use of the left and right pedals, the former of which is controlled by pressing any of the D-Pad buttons while the latter is from pressing either ,
,
, or
. There are some ice slicks on the track's curves, where the racers have to pedal more slowly to avoid spinning out slowly across the slick.
Whoever is first to cross the finish line is the winner. If five minutes pass without anyone crossing the finish line, the game ends in a tie. In Score Scuffle, the minigame does not end until every character crosses the finish line. For the Duel variation, if both players finish at the exact same time, it also counts as a tie. Furthermore, if both characters set a new record but finish simultaneously, the new record is still registered, although after the fanfare for gaining a new record, the word "Tie" is shown onscreen.
Controls[]
(any direction): Press left pedal
(any of these buttons): Press right pedal
