Pay-Off is a badge in Paper Mario .

This badge has a BP cost of 2. Pay-Off is a unique badge in that it increases the coin payout of battles when Mario takes damage. The more damage that Mario will take in the fight, the more coins he will receive once the badge is completed. This badge is given to Mario by Merlow . Merlow charges Mario 1 Star Piece . This badge is helpful early on since Money Money isn't really to be purchased until later in the game. Pay-Off is not in TTYD, most likely because Double Pain makes Mario take double damage. This increase in damage can cause the payout of this badge to increase extensively.
