The Parlors final design
The Parlor is the second room Luigi must travel to in Luigi's Mansion. A ghost drops the key to it in the Foyer for Luigi to collect, but upon reaching the parlor, the same ghost scares Luigi. The ghost is then almost sucked into the Poltergust 3000, with Professor Elvin Gadd weilding it. However, the professor is knocked out, but quickly recovers to greet Luigi. The two were then surrounded by 3 more Gold Ghosts, and they decided to make a retreat to the lab. After attaining the Poltergust 3000, Luigi returns to the Parlor and blows away the purple candles sitting beside the painting. The paintings then start speaking to Luigi, telling him that putting out the candles was unwise as now Luigi will be punsihed by the ghosts (the player however is still required to put out the candles to move on). A few Gold Ghosts proceed to battle Luigi, only to be bested by the Poltergust 3000. Once Luigi catches all of the ghosts in the room, the lights turn on and a treasure chest appears with a key inside leading to the locked door in the room. Luigi is required to return to the Parlor when the Blackout happens in order to reach Uncle Grimmly who has the key to the Breaker Room, which is where Luigi needs to be in order to fix the lights. Luigi, however, is not required to catch all the ghosts in room during the blackout. The Parlor will also hold more ghosts during the blackout.
