A Para-bomb is a Bob-omb variant which first appears in Super Mario World. They slowly descend from the sky using a parachute, and upon landing, a Para-bomb becomes a regular Bob-omb.
In Super Mario World[]
Here, a Para-bomb is one of two enemy variants to use a parachute, the other one being Flying Goomba. Defeating a Para-bomb earns the player 200 points.
In New Super Mario Bros. Wii[]
Para-bombs only appear in one level, World 8-5. They retain their behavior from Super Mario World.
