The Palace of Shadow Tower, originally called Riddle Tower, is a location that appears in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. It is located within the Palace of Shadow after making it through the trials of the first half of the level.

History[]

Mario and co. arrive at the Palace of Shadow Tower where, at first, it is unassailable. Mario and co. must defeat Gloomtail first to obtain the Star Key to gain access. Then, Mario uses his partners to solve the many riddles of the Palace of Shadow Tower where obtains all eight of the Palace Keys. After placing all of the keys in, a huge tremor is heard and Mario and co. are able to go down deeper in the Palace of Shadow.

Meaning: Mario must hit the left block three times and the right block twice.

Master of Shadow and Dark...

Two are one, one is two...

Meaning: There are 2 blocks here; 2 stone blocks and 2 unbreakable blocks. Mario must break the stone blocks in the room directly above, so that the 2 unbreakable blocks are broken.

All you see isn't all there be...Stones Have Power of Stars...Touch it to pass through it...

Meaning: This is an empty room. Mario must pass through the fake wall, revealing a room with a switch. Hitting The ! Block there makes the chest appear on the 1st room.

Room 4

RiddleThe unseen may yet be felt...So That We, the Great Ones...Be it here? Be it there?

Meaning: There is an invisible object on the middle of the room, which means that Mario can't walk through there, so Flurrie must blow it away to reveal another chest.

Room 5

Riddle

Four stones, twin stones...

Master of Shadow and Dark...

Two are one, one is two...

Meaning: There are 2 blocks here; 2 stone blocks and 2 unbreakable blocks. Mario must break the stone blocks in the room directly above, so that the 2 unbreakable blocks are broken.

Straight on, straight onward...

We Know the Stars Spurn Us...

Destroy all in your path...

Meaning: There is another empty room. This part of the wall directly the opposite from the door should be blown up by Admiral Bobbery's bomb attack that reveals another room.

Room 7

Let fall the weakest...

And That the Skies Lie...

Then build to the strongest...

Meaning: 1 Of Each Member Of The Bones Family is on this room. Mario must destroy those Skeletonized Koopas up on that order: Dull Bones, Red Bones, Dry Bones, Dark Bones

The shy one hides his shape...

But the Stars Bring Balance.

The shy one hides his face...

Meaning: This room is empty, but Mario using Vivian to hide on the shadows, so that The ! Block appears out of nowhere.
