Paint Star Pieces are an item in Paper Mario: Color Splash.
Description[]
The five Paint Star Pieces are the pieces of the blue Mini Paint Star of Sacred Forest, similarly in concept to Star Chips in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. All Paint Star Pieces can only be collected after Mario defeats a certain enemy. Once Mario has collected all five Paint Star Pieces, he can repair the Mini Paint Star.
In Paper Mario: Color Splash[]
The Mini Paint Star was taken apart by several Small Goomba Gangs, who then scattered the pieces throughout the level. Their locations are as follows:
- Held by a Small Cheep Cheep, which Mario has to defeat to be able to obtain the Paint Star Piece.
- Located some place on the ground. At first, when Mario tries to collect this Paint Star Piece, some Small Goomba Wheels proceed to attack him, and Mario has to defeat them before he can collect it.
- In the Old Sacred Tree, which Mario has to hit with his hammer to make the piece fall. However, this also causes a Small Goomba Gang to fall out, and Mario has to defeat them before he can obtain the Paint Star Piece.
- In the middle of several Small Goomba Gangs, which Mario has to defeat before he can obtain the Paint Star Piece.
- On the ceiling of a cave, Mario must hit the wall with his hammer to make the piece fall. However, a Small Buzzy Beetle Gang falls along with the Paint Star Piece, and Mario has to defeat them before he can obtain the Paint Star Piece.
