The Nintendo eShop is an online storefront for the Nintendo 3DS family, Wii U and the Nintendo Switch. Originally launched in 2011 and is the successor to the Nintendo DSi Shop from the Nintendo DSi and the Wii Shop Channel from the Wii. It has been on three different consoles but has shut down on the former two consoles due to support ending for those consoles.
Description[]
The eShop allows users to download games and applications to the user's console but unlike the Nintendo DSi Shop, it allows users to download games that were released physically on a game card at a higher price than a smaller downloadable game. Another notable difference from the DSi Shop is that it doesn't have it's own currency and uses real money for transactions. The 3DS's eShop notably included the entire DSiWare library as well. Currently, the only console that has the eShop Still up is the Nintendo Switch as the 3DS and Wii U's eShop shut down in 2023.
List of downloadable-only games[]
Note: The DSiWare Mario titles will not be included due to them already being on the Nintendo 3DS.
Note: Because there are no Mario games that are downloadable only on the Switch, the games that are downloadable only will be listed here instead.
