Night Light Fright

Night Light Fright is a 4-player minigame that appears in Mario Party 5, Mario Party: The Top 100, and even Mario Party Superstars.

Gameplay[]

The characters will be alone in a dark alley with a giant Chain Chomp and will be only equipped with a flash light. When the mini-game begins, the Chain Chomp will start charging at the characters. The only way the characters can stop the Chain Chomp is by using the flashlight. As the Chain Chomp is rampaging through the alley, the character can shine the flashlight at any time. The flashlight will halt the Chain Chomp in its tracks. The amount of distance between the flashlight and the Chain Chomp will be recorded in yards. The objective of the mini-game is to get the Chain Chomp to approach the character as close as possible, then flash the flashlight. The speed that the Chain Chomp moves is random for each character, and changes pace at random times. If a character fails to shine the flashlight, then Chain Chomp will charge at them, eliminating them from the mini-game. The character that stops the Chain Chomp with the least amount of distance will win the mini-game.
