Revision as of 20:07, 12 March 2020

The New Nintendo 2DS XL, originally branded as New Nintendo 2DS LL in Japan, is the sixth and latest revision of the Nintendo 3DS line, mimicking the features of the New Nintendo 3DS with a sleeker design, and without 3D features. It was set to released on July 28, 2017. The original 2DS and New 2DS XL are the only models in the 3DS family not to be discontinued in any part of the world, yet. Unlike the other models in the family which are in 3D, Nintendo does not make the Nintendo 2DS XL (Nintendo 2DS LL) and New Nintendo 2DS and instead only make the Nintendo 2DS and New Nintendo 2DS XL.

Hardware Features

The new model has the same screen size (up to 82%) of the New Nintendo 3DS XL, but trims the outer edges making the device shorter in width and thickness maintained, as well as the screen lacking 3D capabilities.
