Negative Zone is Luigi's Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Description[]
When Negative Zone is used, Luigi emits a strange force field that causes random status effects. The force field is fairly large as it can take up nearly all of Final Destination. Anyone else that is trapped in the Negative Zone will suffer a random status effect such as sleep, slowness, or confusion. The move itself lasts a little over 10 seconds and Luigi can move on his own after he finishes dancing. Like Peach Blossom, Negative Zone does not KO an opponent, but it will leave any foe trapped inside wide open to an attack.
Trivia[]
- Negative Zone is the only Final Smash of a Mario character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl to not return in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
- This move is replaced with Poltergust 5000.
- With Negative Zone being removed from later Super Smash Bros. titles, Peach Blossom and Daisy Blossom are the only Final Smashes that cannot KO an opponent.
- The origin of Negative Zone is though to be because of Luigi's sadness of being constantly in Mario's shadow.
