Mushroom Heights, also known as Acorn Plains-4, is the fourth level of Acorn Plains in New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. It is the first athletic course of the game, and introduces Goombrats, and Balloon Baby Yoshi. This course is the first within the Acrobat Pack.
Features[]
The stage consists of vertically moving mushrooms, as well as ones that tilt in various directions. The enemies mostly consist of Piranha Plants of differing varieties. The Goombrats are introduced within this stage and act similar to red Koopa Troopas, who walk from edge to edge on different platforms, acting as an obstacle.
Star Coins[]
- Star Coin 1: The first Star Coin can be spotted on a blue mushroom near the beginning of the stage. It rests on at the top of a ledge very high up. The player can use a Baby Balloon Yoshi or a Super Acorn to collect it.
- Star Coin 2: The next Star Coin is also near a large blue mushroom platform but is located directly underneath it. The player will near to use a Baby Balloon Yoshi or a Super Acorn to collect it without falling to their death.
- Star Coin 3: The last Star Coin is nestled between two giant Piranha Plants and a swaying mushroom platform. It can be difficult to collect the coin without getting damaged, so attacking and destroying the Piranha Plants is the player's best bet to nab it.
