- "Fer the luvva dirt, make that yappy dog be QUIET!"
- —Mr. Bones
Mr. Bones, alternatively named Skeletons are an enemy in Luigi's Mansion and its Nintendo 3DS version.
Profile[]
Physical description[]
Mr. Bones are white ghosts resembling a human skeleton. They are also the only regular ghost enemies to have legs.
Behavior[]
Mr. Bones collapse before moving around, and when a Mr. Bones stops moving, it reassembles itself, throws a bone at at Luigi before collapsing, repeating its behavior again. The Mr. Bones in the Boneyard drops a bone in the middle of the area right before being vacuumed into the Poltergust 3000, something that none of the other Mr. Bones do.
In Luigi's Mansion[]
Mr. Bones each have thirty HP. Luigi can defeat a Mr. Bones by either vacuuming away its 30 HP or by gradually whittling away at a Mr. Bones's HP by releasing either water, fire, or ice from his Poltergust 3000 onto it.
A Mr. Bones is first encountered in the Boneyard. Here, shortly after Spooky starts to bark at Luigi, Mr. Bones rises from the dirt, angry at the noise of Spooky barking. Luigi has to defeat Mr. Bones in order to capture Spooky, who licks on the bone dropped by Mr. Bones, exposing Spooky's heart in the process.
Three Mr. Bones appear in the Graveyard, and Luigi has to defeat them before Bogmire can appear.
More Mr. Bones are encountered in the Telephone Room after the blackout.
In both the PAL version's and Nintendo 3DS version's Hidden Mansion, Mr. Bones appear a lot more often.
