Missile Meg Mayhem is a course of Petal Isles in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It is the first level of Castle Bowser, and its completion unlocks High-Voltage Gauntlet. Missile Megs make their debut here, hence the name, and they appear on the thumbnail as well. When the players board the fortress, Bowser (possibly through an intercom), announces that the Missile Megs have got their cue to attack. Two Wonder Seeds appear in the level.

Layout[]

Mario starts in a hallway where two Missile Megs launch from the left side at different intervals. These Missile Megs are necessary due to the numerous chasms. Halfway through the hallway, a single row of Missile Megs launches from the right side at a faster rate. A red pipe near the end of the hallway leads to a Checkpoint.

After the checkpoint, three rows of Missile Megs launch from the left at specific intervals. This section is another hallway, with less ground. Smogrins can be found here along with the Wonder Flower. If Mario grabs this Wonder Flower, he will be sent to a bonus area where Missile Megs launch diagonally upwards to the right. The Missile Megs leave behind colorful smoke trails in their wake, and will separate eventually. They curve to the ground as more Missile Megs attack from the upper right. At the end of the ground section, more Missile Megs appear, being launched from the right. These must be used to reach higher ground, after which more Missile Megs launch from the lower left. These must be ridden to get to the Wonder Seed, after which Mario falls down to the ground. Mario must use a Warp Pipe to make his way to the goal, where two rows of Missile Megs can be ridden to get him to the top of the Goal Pole.

The Bubble Flower appears commonly here.

10-Flower Coins[]

  1. The first 10-Flower Coin can be found close to the start of the level while Mario is riding on Missile Megs. A Wow Bud must be activated to summon it.
  2. The second 10-Flower Coin can be found past the red warp pipe. Mario must jump across Missile Megs to reach the coin.
  3. The third 10-Flower Coin can be found after the checkpoint. A Wow Bud can be activated to guide Mario to it, and a Missile Meg must be used to reach the coin.
