Minis, or Mini Toys, are one of the main features of the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series. They, or more specifically Mini Marios, first appear in Mario vs. Donkey Kong, but a variety Minis debuted in the following game, Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis.

Minis are a line of character-based robotic toys produced and sold by the Mario Toy Company. Minis can perform a variety of actions, mostly commonly walking and jumping. Each type of Mini is based on a certain Mario character except Mini Spek, who is an entirely original character. In most of their appearances, each type of Mini has the same abilities, and have little difference from one another aside from being based on a different character. However, in Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge, each Mini except Mini Spek has a special ability that it can use to complete levels or obtain collectibles that other Mini types cannot obtain.
