Meteor Shot is the Special Shot of Black Mage in Mario Hoops 3-on-3.
Description[]
The player can have Black Mage initiate Meteor Shot by tapping out a star shape on the Touch Screen twice. Meteor Shot is Black Mage's counterpart to White Mage's Holy Shot.
Meteor Shot begins with Black Mage creating a large purple rune on the ground. Black Mage levitates the ball, which starts glowing purple, in each of the four cardinal directions, then he spins and casts the ball straight up into the sky. The screen darkens as flaming meteors fall to the court, with the ball being contained in the big meteor, which then slams into the basket. Upon entering the basket, Meteor Shot creates a large plume of fire that knocks over anyone nearby, including teammates.
If Black Mage uses Meteor Shot from outside the three-point line, he uses his wand to shoot the ball, which glows red as a red ribbon of energy follows it. Like other Special Shots, using Meteor Shot from outside the three-point line requires a teammate to grab the ball and dunk it, similarly forming a plume of fire in the process.
