Mega Eep-Cheeps are a larger rarer sub-species of Eep-Cheep. They are mainly found deep underwater and they are seen guiding smaller Eep-Cheeps through the seas just as the Mega Cheep Cheeps and Mega Deep Cheeps do, despite this, like their smaller counterparts, Mega Eep-Cheeps are just as timid as their smaller counterparts and move away from Mario, Luigi, and the others as they approach. Their larger size makes avoiding them slightly more difficult but not by much.
History[]
New Super Luigi U/New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe[]
Mega Eep-Cheeps are first seen in New Super Luigi U and later appear in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe (they are absent from New Super Mario Bros. U however they do exist unused in said game). In these games, they are very rare enemies and only appear in two levels, Cheep Chomp Chase and Urchin Reef Romp and are seen guiding smaller Eep-Cheeps through the waters, like the smaller Eep-Cheeps, they are just as timid and will move away from the heroes as they approach (either up or down), they can still harm the heroes upon contact so be careful. Just like their smaller counterparts Mega Eep-Cheeps can be defeated with the effects of a Fire Flower or Starman and can be frozen with the effects of an Ice Flower or Penguin Suit.
Trivia[]
- Despite not appearing in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mega Eep-Cheeps are seen in the files of the game but went unused in the game's final build.
