Mario & Luigi

Mecha-Chomps are species of robotic Chain Chomp dogs that appear in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga in Woohoo Hooniversity. In the remake, they are replaced by Mechakoopas.

Physical description[]

Mecha-Chomps actually more closely resemble the real-world dog, but their head looks like a Chain Chomp, with their neck representing the creature's chain. The Mecha-Chomp's face has a screen that functions as an "eye".

Battle[]

In combat, Mecha-Chomps attack by throwing their head forwards to bite the Mario Bro. whose colour is shown on their LED "eye (orange for Mario and light green for Luigi). This attack can be dodged with the hammer. Attacking Mecha-Chomps causes them to short circuit and get angry, completely flipping the tell around. Mecha-Chomps cannot be found on the field. A Mecha-Chomp is a Level 15 monster with 36 hit points, an Attack Power stat of 52 (58 upon getting angry), a Defense stat of 56, and a Speed stat of 30 with normal reactions to fire damage and taking critical damage from lightning damage. It gives 26 experience points and 6 coins along with a standard Nut (3 in 25 kills).
