The Master Cycle is one of Link's available vehicles included in the The Legend of Zelda x Mario Kart 8 DLC pack for Mario Kart 8. It also returns in the base game of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Description

It is a motorcycle based and named off the signature sword Link wields in his series of video games, the Master Sword. The side of the motorcycle features his signature shield, the Hylian Shield, and the rims of the wheels have a Triforce drawn on. The Master Cycle's associated wheels are the Triforce Tires, and its associated glider is the Hylian Kite.

Trivia

  • The artwork design for Link riding the Master Cycle is drawn in the same style as artwork from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, rather than 3D renders like the rest of the Mario Kart 8 characters.
  • As stated by Nintendo's Twitter account, the Master Cycle has "plenty of horsepower", a reference of Link traveling by horse in his games.
