Before Super Mario Bros. (B.S.M.B.)
Before Super Mario Bros., there were multiple games about Mario, but at the time, he was called Jumpman.
Donkey Kong
He fended of Donkey Kong before he did Bowser, at a Construction Site. He doged barrels to get to Pauline, who was called Lady at the time.
Mario Bros.
In this, he was a plumber, working in the sewers fending of Shellcreepers and Sidesteppers, along with his brother, Luigi.
Super Mario Bros. Era
This is were Super Mario Bros. started to roll around. Jumpman's name then changed to Mario.
Super Mario Bros.
In this, Mario has to then battle Bowser to save Princess Peach. In-order to do that, Mario has to travel through Worlds 1-4 fending of Goombas and Koopa Troopas.
Super Mario Bros. 2
Mario is dreaming: he fell of a mountain and then finds a door. This door leads to the Subcon world. Mario travels through this strange new world along with fighting Shy Guys and other unknown creatures, he has to save this world from the evil Wart. Mario then wakes up after battling Wart.
Super Mario Bros. 3
In this, Mario attends a play, with his brother, Luigi, and battle Bowser afterwards.
After Super Mario Bros. (A.S.M.B.)
This is were Super Mario Bros. ends, but a new series appears, called Super Mario Land.
Super Mario Land
Mario has to save Daisy from Tatanga while traveling through Sarasaland.
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
Mario has to stop Wario from taking over his Castle, and soon, his island.
Super Mario World
In Super Mario World, Mario, Luigi, and Peach takes a vacation on Yoshi's Island, Peach left, and they noticed she didn't come back, so they went to save Peach from Bowser, along with the Koopalings.
SMW2: Yoshi's Island
The Stork was taking Baby Mario and Baby Luigi to their parents, but the Stork was stopped by Kamek and his minions, and took Mario and Luigi, but Mario fell and was founded by the Yoshi's and they took turns returning Mario to his parents.
64 Era
The 64 Era introduced the first 3D Mario Game, Super Mario 64.
Super Mario 64
In this, Mario has to travel around Princess Peach's Castle, into pictures, until he collects enough Stars to battle Bowser, and save Peach.
Sunshine Era
Mario makes a new friend, F.L.U.D.D, and a new enemy, Bowser Jr..
Super Mario Sunshine
Mario and Peach go on a vacation, and Peach gets captured by Bowser again, and this time, not only Bowser, but his son, Bowser Jr..
The New Era
This Era has the remake of Super Mario Bros., New Super Mario Bros.
New Super Mario Bros.

This time, it's different. Mario and his friends are having lunch at Princess Peach's Castle, but some sort of giant Bowser arm appears out of nowhere and pushed Peach away, grab Mario and his friends, and threw them all the way to Acorn Plains. Same with Super Luigi U.
3D Era
This is were 3D Mario games became really popular.
Super Mario 3D Land
Mario has to save Peach, but this time Peach gives Mario clues on how to find her by pictures.
Super Mario 3D World
In this, Mario and his friends venture through the Sprixie Kingdom, saving 8 Princesses and saving them all over again when Bowser, soon, Meowser, took them.
After the Wii U (A.W.U.)
This is were Nintendo Switch games came along.
Super Mario Odyssey
Mario and Cappy, fly around the world in their Odyssey, eventually stopping Bowser from marring Peach.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
Mario, Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, and others have to stop the MegaBug from destroying the Mushroom Kingdom.
Universal Era
No, not the Super Mario Bros. movie from 1993, the new animated one by Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment.
The Super Mario Movie
No plot is given yet, but it will come to theaters, right?
