The Mario vs. Donkey Kong series is a continuation of the Donkey Kong series and a part of the Donkey Kong franchise The series brings back Pauline, along with the rivalry between Mario and Donkey Kong. The first installment, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, follows the same format as Donkey Kong for Game Boy, but all subsequent Mario vs. Donkey Kong installments focused on controlling the Mini Marios themselves.
