Mario the Juggler is a Game & Watch game released on October 14, 1991. It was the last Game & Watch game released during the system's original run, until 2020, with the release of Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros..
Gameplay[]
The player takes control of Mario, who has to keep juggling bombs, Stars, and hearts. If Mario does not successfully juggle an item, the game registers it as a miss. Like with most Game & Watch games, getting three misses results in a Game Over.
In Game A, Mario has to juggle by himself next to a Mushroom Retainer. If Mario makes a mistake, the Mushroom Retainer laughs. As time goes on, the number of objects being juggled increases from one to three, and the objects move faster.
In Game B introduces characters the Hammer Bro and Lakitu, both of whom periodically grab some of the items and then toss them back in. With a second heart, Mario has to juggle four items.
The game's alarm indicator is a Koopa Troopa, who is located beside the pipe, and it swings a bell when the alarm goes off.
Trivia[]
- The manual says that Mario was pressured into juggling objects by the Mushroom Retainers, and a Hammer Bro and a Lakitu on a cloud walked by and joined in.
