Trivia[]
- This was the only official Mario game to be released in 2022; though it was one of the two games released that year to feature Mario in it overall, the other title being Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope.
- These are Rosalina's and Pauline's first appearances in the Mario Strikers series.
- One stadium named "Mushroom Hill" is a reference to a zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles.
- If not counting the Super Smash Bros. franchise, this is Daisy's first absence in the base roster of a Mario spinoff title since Mario Kart: Super Circuit, however, she did make an appearance when Nintendo announced that a free update will give the player Daisy along with Shy Guy for free.
- One of Shy Guy's victory animations involves him flying in the air with a red, blue, and yellow-colored balloons. This is a direct reference to the Sky Guy from Paper Mario.
- One of Donkey Kong's goal animation became a meme.
- This would be the last game in the franchise to have Charles Martinet as the voice of both Wario & Waluigi before the announcement in August 2023 that Martinet will be retiring from doing voice acting in Mario games.[1]
- Charles Martinet would later serve his final role as both Mario & Luigi in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope.
- This is also the last game in the franchise to have Deanna Mustard as the voice of Daisy.
