Mario Party: Star Rush is a game in the Mario Party series on the Nintendo 3DS. The game is announced to include new gameplay changes to make the game more portable-friendly, including all the players moving at once instead of having to wait for their turn. The game also puts emphasis on the character Toad.
It was released in Europe on October 7, 2016, in Australia on October 8, 2016, in Japan, China, Hong Kong, & Taiwan on October 20, 2016, in North America on November 4, 2016, and in South Korea on April 27, 2017.

Mario Party: Star Rush has a total of 19 controllable characters. Some characters are only playable in certain modes.

These characters (excluding Toad) can be recruited as allies in Toad Scramble. They are the main playable characters in the other modes. Toadette however is not available in Mario Scramble as she does not have an amiibo. Characters with an asterisk shows them that they are unlockable. There is amiibo functionality.

Trivia[]
- This is the first Mario Party game that their 4 colors correspond to each player, (which is Player 1 is red, Player 2 is blue, Player 3 is green, and Player 4 is yellow) since, Mario Party 7.
- This is the third Mario Party game to not feature 1-vs-3 or 2-vs-2 minigames, the first being Mario Party 9 and Mario Party: Island Tour.
- This is the second of the three Mario Party games for the 3DS. The first is Mario Party: Island Tour and the next is Mario Party: The Top 100.
- This is the only Mario Party game where there is a mode where your character is default. In Mario Party: Star Rush, that mode is Toad Scramble.
- Not counting the first four installments --in the Mario Party series-- this is the last later installment in the series (after Mario Party 5 and 6) to have Toad and Toadette as playable characters until Super Mario Party Jamboree.
- This is the last installment in the series to introduce a protagonist newcomer as a playable character (Diddy Kong).
- Rosalina was introduced in the home console game Mario Party 10.
