Mario Golf: Super Rush (マリオゴルフ スーパーラッシュ Mario Gorufu Sūpārasshu?) is the sixth installment of the Mario Golf series. It is a Nintendo Switch game developed by Camelot Software Planning and published by Nintendo. The game was first announced during the February 2021 Nintendo Direct and released internationally on June 25, 2021.
Gameplay[]
Mario Golf: Super Rush takes advantage of the Switch gyroscope support to have full Golf functionality, allowing the game to be played in TV, Handheld, or Tablet mode. The game introduces multiple modes, such as Speed Golf and Battle Golf, in which golfers must physically run to the ball in-between swings under time pressure, often alongside other players. Mario Golf: Super Rush departs from the three-press system present in the previous games of the series, instead having each swing involve two button presses, with the club type and terrain determining the accuracy of the shot.
Like with Mario Golf for Game Boy Color and Mario Golf: Advance Tour, the game also has its own Story mode. It involves leveling up the player Mii's stats while going through a variety of unique challenges.
