The Mario Brothers Rap, originally The Mario Rap or simply Mario Rap (with the first part also being known as the Plumber Rap and the second part also being known as the Super Mario Bros. Super Show Animated Opening) is the theme song to The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. Most of the raps were performed by Lou Albano and Danny Wells in the TV version and Italian rappers in the video game version, through the database they were translated with any language. The intro was filmed in greenscreen in addition to animation by Andy Heyward's company.

An altered cover of the song is featured in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. This song was changed in the film to remove any mention of other characters such as the king of the Koopas, his army or even Princess Peach since they didn't meet or interact each other yet.

Intro (TV Version)[]

The intro begins with Mario's head, reading the title card. The real-life Mario and Luigi are dancing and rapping. The characters are in poles, coming down and the only one who breaks in, rushing, but King Koopa is unimpressed. Again, Mario and Luigi (real-life) are rapping in a cartoonish setting (with birds flying) while the characters open the door, but the brothers (real-life) step inside into a cartoonish setting and the characters in a carpet, flying above the villainous man-eating plants. The brothers (real-life) are chasing below the fish and Mario reaches the star, but turned into color. Again, the characters are in a carpet, flying into the cannon. The owl creeps out and the characters are in a carpet after exiting the castle. At the end, the show's logo appears alongside the characters always flying, zooming out.

TV Version[]

We're the Mario Brothers, and plumbing's our game
We're not like the others who get all the fame
If your sink is in trouble, you can call us on the double
We're faster than the others, you'll be hooked on the Brothers Unh!
H-hooked on the Brothers
Gimme gimme, gimme gimme
Yo, you're in for a treat, so hang on to your seat
Get ready for adventure and remarkable feats
You'll meet Koopa, the Troopas, the Princess, and the others
Hangin' with the plumbers, you'll be hooked on the brothers, to the brink!
Unh! Unh!
I say a h-h-h-h-hooked on the brothers!
The brothers!
The brothers!

A scene from the Plumber Rap of Mario and Luigi being vacuumed down a bathtub drain

Yo, yo!
It's the Mario Brothers and plumbing's their game
Found the secret warp zone while working on the drain
Lend the princess a hand in the Mushroom Land.
Comin' atcha with the plumbers, you'll be hooked on the brothers!
Nooooooooow, Evil Koopa and his Troopas are up to misbehavin'
They kidnapped the princess; Mushroom Land needs savin'
Abusin' and confusin' everybody he discovers
They can't help but be hooked on the brothers! Unh!
