Mario Artist: Polygon Studio is the fourth and final installment of the Mario Artist series, released exclusively in Japan as a Nintendo 64DD title on August 29, 2000. The game allows users to create their own three-dimensional polygon models and explore three-dimensional worlds with them.
While the game is obscure, the concept of microgames in the WarioWare series originated from Mario Artist: Polygon Studio's Sound Bomber mode, in which the player has to play through one short game after the other. All of these minigames were remade into microgames for the first WarioWare title, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!.
Experimental World[]
Experimental World is a mode found in the game. It features a open 3D world where players can explore with their polygon models built with power blocks and find newer or more effective blocks to explore futher.
This mode also contains "creatures" which the player can interact with their models, these creatures include:
- Toasters that provide helpful guides to players.
- Flying eggs that serve as the enemies of this game.
- Tube creatures that serve as harder enemies of the game.
