Mario is a plumber who is the main character in the Super Mario Adventures and Mario vs. Wario comics published in Nintendo Power. Mario is based off the Nintendo character.

Physical description

Mario is a short overweight Italian man with a thick black mustache, black eyebrows and brown hair with blue eyes. He wears a red cap with white gloves and a long-sleeved red shirt and blue overalls, matching his appearance in the games from Super Mario Bros. 3 onward.

Plumbers of Mushroom Kingdom

Mario and Luigi lived in the Mushroom Kingdom with their occupation as plumbers. As the brothers entered Princess Peach's Castle, a Toad informed them about the unconnected pipes leaking. He also informed that Princess Toadstool was "expecting plumbing by tonight". Mario and Luigi connected the pipes when fixing but Mario found a green pipe that had a Jumping Piranha Plant jump out of the pipe. This followed up with more pipes summoned from the ground and Mario dragged Luigi to a garden full of pipes. Various creatures came out of the pipes surrounding the Mario Bros. They fought the creatures until Bowser came out of a pipe with his Koopa Clown Car.
