Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a crossover Nintendo Switch role-playing game that features characters in both the Mario franchise and the Raving Rabbids series. This is the second Mario game released for the Nintendo Switch, following Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. A sequel titled Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope was released on October 20, 2022.

Gameplay[]

Three playable characters (four in escort levels) use their movement and weapons to defeat enemies. All heroes have 2 movement functions: Team jump and dash. Dashing can only be done once a turn (unless upgraded in the Skill Tree) and does a varied amount of damage. Any character that has not already performed a team jump can jump onto another non-KOed hero and land some distance away. There are 4 kind of battles:

  1. Defeat all battles. The heroes must use their movement and weapons to defeat all the enemies on the battle field.
  2. Defeat n enemies battles. The heroes must defeat a certain amount of enemies.
  3. Reach area battles. At least one hero must use their movement to reach a certain area (higlighted in yellow).
  4. Escort battles. The heroes must protect toad/toadette/spawny and help them reach a certain area.
