New Requests

To create a new RfA nomination, please copy this code and paste it under Current Requests below:

You need to replace the username parameter with the username of the candidate, and the end date parameter with the ending date of voting, which is one week from when the candidate accepts the nomination.

Please read the Criteria for Administratorship before nominating a user or yourself for Adminship to make sure the user meets the criteria for becoming an Administrator. A list of administrators can be found here.

Conker's Bad Fur Day (Adminship)

Ends January 26, 2012 Hello. I am Conker's Bad Fur Day, a contributor here since April 2011. I have done many things to help the wiki, infoboxes, cleanup, images, etc. Thanks to everyone else who has helped too. I feel I am ready and I will happily keep this place good when I am a sysop. I have good faith, never flamed anyone, etc. I might have made some mistakes, but I have learned from them and I have learned from them. Retrying as RR6W said that its time.

Oppose - No. There's absolutely no reason for a new administrator. There's no need in a small community like ours to have more administration, more of that just leads to more tedious bureaucratic actions and processes. Conker, you're a good editor and you're still quite active, but I don't think MarioWiki is in need of an administrator; I suppose you could make it as a Rollback, though. — Wattz2000 22:28, January 19, 2012 (UTC)

Comment I'm going to provide a little analysis not on Conker's Bad Fur Day but rather whether the wiki truly needs another admin. It is true that it would appear to one that the wiki wouldn't have much use for another admin. However, from experience, it is good to have a couple back ups. You don't want to look around one day and find out that you are suddenly down to one admin (that is always nice). However, this was simply in regards to the statement that there are enough admins. I'd say 3-4 active admins would be good for a wiki this size. The MarioGalaxy2433g5 {talk/contribs} 17:40, January 21, 2012 (UTC)

Conker's Bad Fur Day (Demotion)

It has been confirmed that Conker's Bad Fur Day is a sockpuppet of User:Slipknot Darkrai, a banned user from MarioWiki.

You see, he PMed a user on the NIWA Mario Wiki forums after getting banned from Userpedia. He said, I quote, "My secret is Kaptain K. Rool and I am Slipknot Darkrai there and I sockpuppeted as Conker's Bad Fur Day (previously Jello Rabbit) to have a new start and I was banned cross-wiki for three months for flaming cross-wiki. I am being a good person now and I shall be banned in many wikis if my cover is blown. Wikia knows I am a user, but they cannot know what I told you about the sockpuppeting. Thank you."

He needs to be demoted/banned immediately, especially since he didn't have a proper consensus in the first place to get the rights. -- Bullet Francisco My Talk227 Edits Email Me 20:05, March 14, 2012 (UTC)
