The Manual of Style's Enemy page provides a layout on how the enemy articles should be done. The page will break down each heading to help you understand what information must be placed there. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page.

This section is where you can add {{Icon}} and {{Youmay}} before the infobox. {{Q}} can go after the infobox. You can add {{Infobox Enemy}} from the preload templates on Source Editor. After the infobox, you can summarise what the enemy is and its first appearance. The name of the enemy must be bold. If it is possible to add the Japanese name of the enemy, use {{Nihongo}}.

Layout[]

Profile
Physical description
Describe the enemy's physical appearance if possible. Mention their hair color, eye color, skin complexion and their clothes. For mentioned-only enemies, you do not need to add this heading; unless someone described the mentioned-only enemy.
Behavior
Describe the enemy's behavior in the Mario game in general.
In <insert franchise/series/game here>
Add this heading if the enemy appeared in one game or the enemy appeared in a game part of the series. In the latter case, the subheading will have italics and a link to the game. (ex. === ''[[Super Mario Bros.]]'' ===) It is important to describe their role in each game. The game sections within a series must be listed in chronological order, and the series headings themselves must be listed in chronological order of the enemy's first appearance within said series, or standalone game if following after a series. The series heading is not needed if the enemy only appears in one game of the series, in which case the game becomes the heading.
In some cases, if an enemy in general has made several appearances throughout at least two franchises (i.e. Mario, Yoshi, Wario, or Donkey Kong), the main heading can instead list a franchise name, therefore making the series name a subheading and the game name a tertiary heading.
Crossover appearances
Add this heading for any crossover appearances the enemy has made. The subheading will have italics and a link to the game (ex. === ''[[Tetris DS]]'' ===) or of the series and any games falling under it. (ex. ==={{series|Super Smash Bros.}}=== followed by ====''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]''====) Provide details about the enemy under each appropriate game subheading. This heading does not apply to enemies originating from other Nintendo or third-party media, e.g. the Octorok article does not follow this structure.
Game data
This can be added for enemies that have in-game data, such as statistics. An enemy generally has its data categorized under its own {{Data-table}} sub-template.
Flavor text
Profiles or bios of an enemy, mostly from outside a game, such as a manual or website. Create a sub-template of {{Flavor text}} pertaining to the enemy (e.g. {{Flavor text/Goomba}} for Goomba) and list the profiles within tabber (preferably {{#tag:tabber}}). Sort it like you would for the for "In <franchise/series/game>" headings; for example, if an enemy debuts in the Super Mario series before the Mario Kart series, list the Super Mario series first then the Mario Kart series. Be sure to add the appropriate game names as the secondary tabs within the primary Super Mario series tab. If an enemy has flavor text for only one game in a series, the game can be made the primary tab.
Timeline
May be optional to add this heading unless the enemy made multiple video game appearances. {{Timeline}} will be used for video game enemies.
Behind the scenes
Creation and development
Describe the enemy's creation and development. If the enemy has a concept artwork, you may mention it.
Voice actors/Actors
List the previous voice actors/actors and the latest voice actor/actor. If there is one voice actor/actor, then list one.
Etymology
Write about the possible origin of the enemy's name. Mention how the name origin connects to the enemy. If the enemy's name does not have an origin, do not add this subheading.
Real-world influences
In pop culture
Describe how the enemy connects to modern society.
Reception
Describe people's reviews on the enemy.
Nomenclature
Add the enemy's names in different languages. Be sure to use {{Nomenclature}} when doing so.
Trivia
Add facts that may not fit in either of the headings above, but appeal to the reader. They must be listed with asterisks.
Gallery
Add a gallery to the page or {{Gallery Link}} to the article.
References
If the articles have citations. You can only add {{Reflist}}.

List related or similar articles by using asterisks.
External links
Add links that link to the same page on Fandom wikis or outside Fandom. The links must be listed with asterisks. (ex. [[w:c:papermario:Goomba|Goomba on Paper Mario Wiki.]])
